Organize Your Scraps Class



Have you ever wanted to make a scrap quilt, but did not want to invest the time searching and cutting for that "perfect" fabric?  Let us help you tame those unruly scrap fabrics.  We do warn you that this class will take some effort, but the sense of accomplishment at the end will be well worth the effort.  Come join us - many hands make light work.

Class 1 - Sort by size and preparing the fabric for storage.
Class 2 - Taming those scraps
Class 3 - Taming those scraps continued.  Catch up where needed
Class 4 - Sort by color and labeling for your next scrap quilt project

Supplies - Class 1
Bag of scraps no larger than a 13-gallon kitchen trash bag.  The bag must be able to close.
2 storage containers.  They should be able to store roughly half of the scraps that you brought.
Iron and ironing board.  This is highly recommended although we have 2 that can be shared.
Spray starch (optional)
Pad of paper and pencil (not pen)
Tape measure
Rubber bands ( 20 -30 Minimum)

Supplies - Class 2
Rotary cutter, mat and ruler (6" X 12") is a good size
6.5" square ruler (optional)
a second set of storage containers.  2 that are roughly 1/2 the size of the storage container
from class 1.  (These are for sorting purposes only.  It is recommended that they close.)
And 6 containers that are roughly shoe box sized.  They must be able to close.
Iron & ironing board from Class 1
Gallon zip lock bags (8 - 10)
Rubber bands from Class 1

Supplies - Class 3
Rotary Cutter, mat and ruler (6"X12" is a good size)
6.5" square ruler (optional)
Gallon zip lock bags from Class 2

Supplies - Class 4
Rubber bands from Class 2
Gallon zip lock bags from Class 3
Bonnie Hunter's Essential Triangle Tool (optional)
