Jelly Roll Rug
Jump on the jelly roll rug train and make this fun decor accent for your home or as a gift. Just one jelly roll makes a surprisingly large oval rug that can brighten up any room in your home. Warning: highly addictive project!
Materials and supplies
- Sewing machine (must have at least a 5 mm zigzag) with cord and pedal
- Dual feed or walking foot (optional but helpful)
- Basic sewing supplies
- Jelly Roll Rug pattern (available at Heavenly Stitches)
- 1 jelly roll or 42 2-12" strips of fabric, cut WOF
- 2 small rolls or 1 large roll of precut 2-1/2" cotton batting (available at Heavenly Stitches)
- Size 14-18 denim sewing machine needles
- Mary Ellen's Best Press
- Wonderclips or pins
- Thread to blend or contrast with fabric (variegated works well)
