This class is targeted for beginners but anyone is welcome. Very easy way technique to make a string block
For each block:
7" square of foundation fabric (I use lightweight sew in interfacing)
1 - 1 1/2" X 10" strip of 'A' fabric (I recommend a 'solid') for each block
For your 'B' fabric: Approximately 12 - 15 strips per block varying in width of 1 1/2" to 2 1/2 " and lengths of 4" - 10". These strips may be straight or angles as desired.
1 - 2 1/2" squares for each block cut in half on 1 diagonal
For those who have taken the scrap organization class:
7" square of foundation fabric (I use lightweight sew in interfacing)
1- 1 1/2" X 10" strip of 'A' fabric (I recommend a 'solid') for each block
For your 'B' fabric: Bring your "strip" tote and your 2 1/2 square tote.
You will need:
Sewing machine - in good working order
Basic sewing supplies (pins, thread, etc.)
Cutting mat, cutter and ruler (I recommend a 6" X 18". But any size will do)
Iron and Ironing mat (optional)
Since this is a 'free' class, may I ask you to consider making 1 block for charity. The charity quilt that I am making is the above 7" block with a black 'A' fabric.
